DIY Dragon Eggs

Image
If you're as dragon obsessed as I am then you will love these dragon egg crafts. I chose to make my dragon eggs resemble the eggs from the Tri-wizard Tournament (Including the golden egg) but you can make your dragon eggs look however you want. Some steps may vary depending on what dragon breeds you're going for but basically its the same thing. And at this point, especially if you're not a harry Potter fan, you're probably really confused why anyone would be this obsessed with dragon eggs that they would even think about the breed. All I can say is...yeah its weird but you're still reading this so what does that say about you. So if you're still here out of genuine interest then by all means have fun!     Materials: 5 Styrofoam Easter eggs (any size) Air dry clay Whatever colors of acrylic paint that you want (But if you're following my examples then you will need gray, white, black, red, gold, pink, blue, brown, and green) Mod podge or sealant spray...

10 Gifts To Get The Hufflepuff In Your Life

Image
I don't know about you but I struggle with buying presents for other people. I love buying presents but I'm not good at it. Especially when it comes to the Hufflepuffs in my life. I mean, how many times have you asked someone what they want for their birthday and they just say; "Oh, I don't know." or "I don't care. I'll like anything you get me."? Well those people are usually Hufflepuffs. Why? Well, because they don't like to ask for things and they feel bad when they do. Now I'm not saying these gifts are exclusively for Hufflepuffs but in my experience, they tend to be the ones who enjoy them most. I also asked my best friend, who is a Hufflepuff, if she would like these things so there's some truth behind them. Courtesy of Wikimedia Commons 1. Succulents Hufflepuffs like to care for things and enjoy the positive vibes that these plants bring to a room. Its such a nice feeling when you see a Hufflepuff get super excited ab...

Chocolate Frog Recipe

Image
This isn't really a recipe since no cooking is involved but its sort of like a tutorial. I made these chocolate frogs a while back for me and some of my friends. I decided to make them again because they're just so fun to make and they taste so good! I mean they're literally just blocks of chocolate. Supplies:  Frog molds (I got mine on amazon) Baking chocolate, sweet or semi-sweet (baking chocolate melts better) Box Template Hot glue Plastic wrap Pot and bowl Scissors Card stock  Steps: Pour hot water in a pot and put as much chocolate as needed into a bowl.  Place the bowl in the hot water. (don't get water in the bowl though!) Wait for it to melt and stir occasionally Once melted pour the chocolate into the frog molds and put them in the fridge. I would leave them over night or wait at least 4 hours. meanwhile print as many box templates as you want. Print them on card stock to make them more sturdy. (If your printer cant print on card stock...

What's Your Secondary Hogwarts House?

I made this quiz to determine what your inner house is. If you get an answer you don't think is right let me know. I can always change the quiz :) https://www.playbuzz.com/item/1c2912a5-3787-40e3-b74f-f6a4c359154e

Top 10 Harry Potter Insults

This list is for the rare occasion that you find a Potterhead that you don't like. Most Potterheads tend to bond over their shared love of the Wizarding World but, it is possible to find someone who just rubs you the wrong way. ( I use them for all the Housist* Potterheads out there) But instead of being a NORMAL person who would use regular insults, you will be able to insult them with these hilarious Harry Potter insults.  1. Even Dobby...Wouldn't touch your socks. 2. The Cruciatus curse is less painful than looking at your outfit. 3. When you encounter a boggart... does it turn into a mirror. 4. I should've taken some Felix Felicis this morning, then maybe I wouldn't have seen you. 5. Not even the Hufflepuffs want you. 6. I can tell you didn't get an O.W.L. in Transfiguration or you would have done something about your face.  7. Honey, if you gave that shirt to a house elf they would give it back.  8. Whenever someone says something...

Potion Necklace DIY

Image
Something I've noticed when I've attempted to DIY anything is that whenever I try to follow a tutorial that says "easy" or "five minute crafts" it always calls for a Hammer Driver Drill or quick dry cement. I don't know about you but I don't have those things just lying around the house. So when I choose to blog about any type of craft I choose to be honest...you will have to buy some of the things required to make these necklaces, but the cost shouldn't be more than $20 for a pack of 10 bottles. I know that's actually a lot but when you think about it, it's only $2 per bottle. And if you can't spend that much then you can probably substitute some of the items. But if you are really invested into Harry Potter crafts, as I am, then you will surely enjoy making these potion bottle necklaces!     Materials: Little glass bottles with a cork (whatever size you want depending on if you're making a necklace or just a potion bottle) ...
