Chocolate Frog Recipe
This isn't really a recipe since no cooking is involved but its sort of like a tutorial. I made these chocolate frogs a while back for me and some of my friends. I decided to make them again because they're just so fun to make and they taste so good! I mean they're literally just blocks of chocolate.
Supplies:
- Frog molds (I got mine on amazon)
- Baking chocolate, sweet or semi-sweet (baking chocolate melts better)
- Box Template
- Hot glue
- Plastic wrap
- Pot and bowl
- Scissors
- Card stock
Steps:
- Pour hot water in a pot and put as much chocolate as needed into a bowl.
- Place the bowl in the hot water. (don't get water in the bowl though!)
- Wait for it to melt and stir occasionally
- Once melted pour the chocolate into the frog molds and put them in the fridge.
- I would leave them over night or wait at least 4 hours.
- meanwhile print as many box templates as you want.
- Print them on card stock to make them more sturdy. (If your printer cant print on card stock, either find a printer that does, skip the boxes, or print them on normal paper.)
- Fold and glue the boxes together
- When the chocolate frogs are solid, take them out of the fridge and wrap them in plastic wrap.
- Put the frogs in the boxes and either glue them shut and give them away or just admire your handy work.
