The Unofficial Guide to a Harry Potter World Trip

1. Georgian House Hotel, London

Of course you’ve got to England first, after all that's where it all began. The Georgian House hotel is a hotel with harry Potter themed rooms. Each room is equipped with wizarding supplies such as magic books and cauldrons.

2. Leadenhall Market, London

J.K. Rowling based Diagon Alley off of this indoor market. And it's here you can find the storefront of the Leaky Cauldron used to film the harry Potter movies.

3. Kings cross station, London

This one is obvious. This is where the barrier to the Hogwarts express is and where the scenes for platform 9 ¾ were filmed. The station even built their own platform 9 ¾ for Harry potter fans to take pictures in front of and, no one can deny it, trying to force their way through the barrier.

4. The London Zoo, London

This is where the scene in the first movie was filmed when Harry speaks to the Boa Constrictor ( who was not Nagini so stop those stupid fan theories!)

5. Warner Bros. Studio Tour, London

If you book a tour at the Warner bros. Studio in London you will be amazed by how realistic everything looks. You can take plenty of pictures and pretend that you are NOT a muggle and you are NOT too old to still be waiting for your Hogwarts letter. We have HOPE...i'll just go cry now.

6. The Jacobite, Scotland

Anywho, if you're ever in Scotland take a few hours out of your day and take a ride in the Jacobite steam engine. Many of the scenes from the movies were filmed here and you even pass over the same bridge that Harry did on the Hogwarts express.

7. The Elephant House, Scotland

This little coffee shop is where J.K. Rowling went to escape her difficult life and just write in the back room. This is where she single-handedly created the magical world we’ve come to love so much.

8. Whimsic Alley, Los Angeles

This one is also pretty cool. This shop has a Harry Potter themed cafeteria that is found if you find, and dare to go through, the little corridor in the back. The shop has plenty of magical Harry Potter items and you won't leave the shop with at least buying a bag of Fizzing Wizbees.

9. Czocha Castle,Poland

Now personally this is where I dream to go. This is a College of Wizardry. Polish live role players decided to recreate the experience of going to a real wizarding school. Guests can go to magic classes with real professors and they can even sleep in their own dormitories made to look as close to those described in the books.

10. The wizarding world of Harry Potter, Florida

This is the most commercial and most expensive item on my list. However, it's always worth a visit and is an incredible recreation of the Harry Potter world. Here you can get a wand from Ollivander's and stroll through Diagon Alley sipping a cold Butterbeer.

Note: This is my Harry Potter bucket list. I've never been to these places...that's why they are on my bucket list. If you've ever gone to any of these spots, let me know what your experience was like. Or if you have any recommendations of places to add to the list, I'd love to hear them.
